Dye colours
Hi people ,
just been on GW and got silver dye from a monster. Before I thought you could only get blue, yellow, red, purple etc. Now I'm very curious as to what other colours you can get. Gold possibly? And can you buy these other colours from other dye traders since the one in Ascalon doesn't sell them. Thx in advance |

Yellow, Blue, Green, Red, Orange, Purple, Black, and Silver. as far as I know.
Dye merchants will probably show all available colors, even if not in stock. |

the dye vendor doesnt sell silver and black, but u can sell those colors to the vendor
the vendor gives u like 500g for silver and like 1700 for black, so i would personally never use them, they are worth so much |

Don't know about ALL the dye vendors (never bothered much with dye), but in post-searing ascalon there is a scroll bar on the right. Scroll down and there are your silver and black.

Actually.... to be specific...
Quote:
Actually, if you get a quote from the vendor to sell him the dye you have, he usually quotes in that ball park. Closer to 250-350g for Silver, and 1300-1500g for Black, but the numbers shift with player supply and demand. More often than not, I end up selling my dye to the Vendors instead of people, because the vendors are paying more. You can also buy Black and Silver from the dye-traders in post-searing. As stated, there is a scroll bar on the right side of the screen which, when pulled down, will give you the option to purchase Silver & Black. You can usually find them for cheaper off players though, so ask around. As for mixing, you can mix up to 4 colors, to make a MASSIVE VARIETY of colored armor and weapons. For instance, mixing yellow and silver, tends to give you a gold color... by adding another silver you'll make it a bit "golder", etc... throw in some purple... who knows! All the colors are based on the natural spectrum, and a color wheel... so if you can find one online, you should be able to figure out what combinations will make what color. Heh... Wonder if the devs threw in any easter eggs with the dye mixes... i.e.: Mixing 4 specific colors in a specific order, will yield glowing dye. *wink* Only time will tell, and Happy Coloring! -= Beradok Klethmoor =- Level 13 Necro/Ranger -= Dailan Heildor =- Level 8 Monk/Mesmer |
